Hudson Square is a vibrant commercial neighborhood born from repurposed buildings that were predominantly large printing operations – and which gradually were replaced by the new media and out of neighborhood competition.  Many of these renovated industrial buildings were owned by Trinity Church in a rather massive portfolio.  The boundaries of the neighborhood are West Houston Street to Canal from north to south, and Varick Street to the Hudson River, to the west.  Hudson Square is proximate to SoHo and like most other areas in NYC is undergoing somewhat of a residential transformation with new renovated and “ground-up” apartment buildings.
