There is a historical argument about the location of the border between Brooklyn and Queens, centering on Arbitration Rock, and which city the inhabitants of Bushwick, Brooklyn and Ridgewood, Queens actually live in.

Brooklyn has a population over 3,000,000, 40% of which are foreign born individuals (boasts the largest population of Russian and Ukrainian immigrants in NY.  This is in the Brighton Beach neighborhood, also known as "Little Russia", while the Greenpoint neighborhood is known as "Little Poland".

The tallest office building in Brooklyn is ONE WILLOUGHBY SQUARE (420 Albee Square) - a 500,000 sq. ft. commercial structure.

Other, recent projects include the PANORAMA (25030 Columbia Heights, the former Jehova Witness Watchtower building) has 730,000 sq. ft. of offices.

47 HALL STREET has 570,000 sq. ft. and DOCK 72 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard has about 675,000 sq. ft.  The WHEELER at 422 Fulton Street incorporates 600,000 sq. ft. above Macy's department store, and 25 KENT (25 Kent Avenue) is another 500,000 sq. ft. structure.  The historical renovation and expansion of the DOMINO SUGAR REFINERY (260 Kent Avenue) includes 380,000 sq. ft. inside the landmark refinery building with a large residential development around it built by the same developer.
